Festival of the Earth

The Festival of the Earth is a Northern Virginia community celebration of nature, music, creativity, and togetherness. This year-after-year family favorite features a noon costume parade where kids in nature-themed costumes lead the community. If your kids dress as butterflies, bumblebees, flowers, or forest creatures, they'll join a parade that's inclusive and gives every kid a moment in the spotlight.

Beyond the parade, you'll find live bluegrass music, farm animals to pet, local artisan crafts and vendors, kids games, and food trucks. It's a neighborhood celebration, not a big commercial event. The vibe is relaxed — families gather to celebrate the natural world together, and it's the kind of day kids remember.
