Bright Nights at Cameron Run

The Budget Light Show in Alexandria

Bright Nights at Cameron Run is the cheapest ticketed light walk on our list: $9 online or $12 at the park, plus fees. It's at The Winter Village at Cameron Run in Alexandria, and it runs from November 14 to January 3. It's rain or shine, and there are no refunds.

The schedule shifts through the season. From November 14 to 22 it's weekends only, 5 to 10pm. It's closed November 23 to 26. From November 27 to December 17 it's open Monday to Thursday 5 to 9 and Friday to Sunday 5 to 10. From December 18 to January 3 it's open every night, 5 to 10.

Beyond the lights and photo spots, NOVA Parks added lighted mini golf, a scavenger hunt and a giant maze this year. There are fire pits with s'mores kits for sale, hot chocolate (refills are $1 if you keep the souvenir cup), and pizza and hot dogs. Parking is free. In past years there was ice skating here, but it hasn't been confirmed for 2026.
