Butler's Orchard Pumpkin Festival
Friday opens early this week, at 9am instead of 1pm. Weekend tickets are $20 online or $25 walk-in, and weekends usually sell out.
Cox Farms Fall Festival
Closed Wednesday. It's $20 on Thursday and Friday and $30 on the weekend, online only, and admission includes a pumpkin.
Great Country Farms Pumpkin Harvest
Pig races at 11, 1 and 3 on the weekend, and the last wagon to the patch leaves at 4. The apple orchard is closed for now.
Gaver Farm Fall Fun Fest
More than 65 attractions on one ticket. Walk-ups aren't guaranteed on October weekends, so buy ahead. Under 24 months free.
Summers Farm Fall Festival
Fireworks Saturday night around 7:30, weather permitting. The farm usually closes when it's rainy or muddy, so check before you drive.
Pumpkin Village at Leesburg Animal Park
Zip lines, hill slides and the animal park on one ticket. Weekend tickets are online only, with shows and face painting.
Temple Hall Farm Pumpkin Patch
Every paid ticket comes with a pumpkin and a bouquet you cut yourself. Tickets are sold at the farm only, card preferred.
Brick-or-Treat at LEGO Discovery Center
The Halloween monster takeover comes with regular admission. Booking online saves $3 a ticket. Last entry is 3:30.
Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice
Climbable dinosaurs and prehistoric habitats at the National Children's Museum, included with admission. Closed Tuesdays.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom: The Musical
Closing weekend for the alphabet book musical, with puppets and dancing. Sunday morning is almost full, so book soon.

Boo at the Zoo
Trick-or-treating through the Zoo after dark, with a goodie bag and three animal houses open late. The Zoo closes to regular visitors at 2pm.
Fall Harvest Fest at Frying Pan Farm Park
Big Truck Night on Friday, farm days on Saturday and Sunday, and a carnival all weekend. Parking is $10 a car, rides extra.
Loudoun Fall Farm Tour
34 farms open for free, from a dairy with a 1:30 milking demo to an alpaca and llama ranch. Rain or shine.
Goblin Golf at Burke Lake Park
The last weekend of Halloween mini golf, treats included. Book a session online, or call the park to check for space.
Halloween Eye Spy Trains
An Eye Spy card for every rider. Wheaton's $9 ticket adds a carousel ride, and kids under 2 ride free. No rides in the rain.

Pennsylvania Avenue closes for Turkish food, live music, folk dancing and a kids' games and crafts area. Free entry, short walk from Metro.

A calm trick-or-treat with a carousel ride, a train ride, crafts, a sensory tent and treat stations. Register ahead.
Meet Finn the Fox, your kid's new adventure buddy
Finn is a curious little fox who explores real places across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. His first adventure? The National Zoo. 15 coloring pages with a story, interactive prompts, and real animals your kids will recognize from their own visits.
