Finding Dory turns ten this year, which is either charming or upsetting depending on how old you were when it came out. The Washington Harbour movie series is marking it with a free outdoor screening on the Georgetown waterfront this Friday at 7pm, with the Potomac right there behind the screen. A movie about finding your way home in the water, shown next to the water. Somebody planned that.

The formula is the easy one: bring a blanket or a couple of lawn chairs, claim a patch of the waterfront park, and let the kids sprawl. Dinner beforehand at any of the Harbour restaurants makes it a proper evening, or you can pack your own and skip the wait. It is free with no tickets, so the only cost of arriving late is a worse view. Get there by 6:30 if you want to be close.
