Flights & Frights: Trick or Treat at the Museum
The College Park Aviation Museum bills itself as the oldest continuously operating airfield in the world, and on October 24 it turns into a small, evening trick-or-treat spot. Flights & Frights runs from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Kids trick-or-treat in the gallery, then move on to games, crafts and experiments. Costumes are encouraged.
Two details matter. It costs $5 per person, and that includes kids, adults and seniors alike, so a family of four pays $20. And you have to register by October 17, so do it this week instead of the night before. It suits kids who have outgrown a toddler party but would not enjoy a haunted house, and it costs less than most Halloween events this month.

Parent Tips 💡
- Register by October 17. Registration is required. The link is on the Prince George's County Parks event page.
- Budget $5 for every person. Adults pay too, not just kids.
- Go in costume. Trick-or-treating happens in the gallery, so comfortable shoes beat long costume trains.
- Evening sets in early. Sunset is around 6pm in late October, so bring a jacket for the walk from the Metro.
- Call with questions. The museum lists 301-864-6029 and collegeparkaviation@pgparks.com.
