Vienna Oktoberfest 2026
Church Street closes and Vienna puts on its 17th Oktoberfest. Admission is free, which is the main reason this one works with kids: if you last 90 minutes, you have lost nothing. There is a free kids zone with games and bounce houses at one end, 130-plus vendors and an artisan market along the street, and three stages of music.
Parents can get a beer while the kids bounce, which is the actual design of the event. Food runs well past pretzels and bratwurst, with vendors from a lot of different kitchens. The one thing to plan around is parking, because Church Street is closed and the side streets fill fast. The free shuttle solves it.

Parent Tips 💡
- Take the shuttle, not your parking luck: Three free pickup points, running every few minutes. Circling Vienna's side streets with kids in the car is the worst version of this day.
- Head for the kids zone first: Bounce house lines grow through the afternoon. Going there before noon means shorter waits and a calmer kid for the walk down the street.
- Bring a wagon if you have one: Church Street is long and flat. A wagon carries the tired four-year-old and the pumpkin-shaped thing you bought from a vendor at the same time.
- Eat before 1pm or after 3pm: The food lines stack up in the middle of the day. The 3pm lull is the other good window, and the music is still going.
- Cash helps at the smaller booths: Most vendors take cards, but a few of the craft stalls are cash-only and the ATM line is not where you want to spend 15 minutes.
- It runs to 7pm, but the family part peaks earlier: The later hours skew more toward the beer garden and the bands. If you have young kids, plan on leaving around 4.
