Adams Morgan PorchFest
Adams Morgan PorchFest turns an entire neighborhood into a live music venue. More than 100 bands and solo artists set up on front porches, lawns, rooftops, and park stages across the neighborhood, and you just wander from one to the next. Jazz here, bluegrass there, a kids' drum circle on the corner. The vibe is incredibly relaxed and fun. Families spread out blankets on the grass, kids dance in the streets, and dogs are everywhere. It feels like a giant block party where everyone is invited. The music runs from 2pm to 6pm, and the whole thing is free with a suggested $5 donation.

Parent Tips 💡
- Grab a festival map when you arrive or download it from the website ahead of time. Stages are scattered, so a plan helps.
- Bring a blanket or camping chairs. The best spots fill up fast, especially near the park stages.
- 2pm start means you can do morning activities elsewhere and still catch the full festival. Pair it with a zoo visit in the morning since Woodley Park is one stop away.
- The neighborhood restaurants are open and bustling. Grab lunch before the festival starts or snack your way through.
- Kids love the drum circles and interactive stages so check the map for family-oriented performances.
