DC Chocolate Festival at the French Embassy
The DC Chocolate Festival returns to the French Embassy for its ninth edition, turning the elegant halls of La Maison Française into a chocolate wonderland for two full days. Local and international chocolatiers set up tasting stations where families can sample everything from single-origin dark chocolate to creative bonbons and truffles. Kids under ten get in free and have their own dedicated chocolate class where they learn to temper and dip their own treats. There are also live demonstrations from pastry chefs, chocolate sculpture displays, and workshops where parents can learn about the bean-to-bar process. The setting itself is special, the French Embassy grounds are beautiful and the event feels more like a European festival than a typical food fair. Sessions sell out, so booking early is smart.
