Towsontown Spring Festival
The Towsontown Spring Festival is one of those events that feels bigger than you expect. More than 300 vendors line the streets of downtown Towson with art, crafts, jewelry, and local goods. There is a full carnival with rides for toddlers through tweens, a petting zoo, pony rides, and multiple stages with live music and entertainment throughout both days. The food selection is massive, with everything from crab cakes to funnel cakes. Families from all over Maryland show up for this one, and it is easy to see why. You could spend a full day here and still not see everything. Admission to the festival itself is free, though rides and some activities cost extra.

Parent Tips 💡
- Saturday morning is the best time for families. The carnival lines are shorter, the crowds are lighter, and you can take your time exploring.
- Bring cash for the rides and food vendors. Some accept cards, but cash lines move faster and some smaller vendors are cash only.
- The petting zoo and pony rides are near the south entrance. Head there first if your kids are animal lovers, because lines get long by afternoon.
- Sunday opens later at 1pm so it is a shorter day. Good if you want a quicker visit without committing the whole day.
- Wear comfortable shoes. The festival stretches across several blocks and you will be on your feet for hours.
