Zip Lines, Hill Slides and Goats on One Ticket
Leesburg Animal Park turns into Pumpkin Village every fall, and this weekend, October 16 to 18, is a good time to go. One ticket covers the fall fest and the animal park itself: the new kids' zip lines, hill slides, moon bounces, a hay maze, a corn bin, straw tunnels, pedal carts, wagon rides and the animals. The park says it's built for kids 2 to 10, and that's the sweet spot.
Saturday and Sunday have the most going on. Boogie Bennie plays at 11 on Saturday, and The Great Zucchini is on at 11 on Sunday. Both days have live music from 1 to 3 and free face painting from noon to 3. Weekend tickets are $24.95 and sold online only, with entry times every half hour. Friday is calmer and cheaper at $19.95, and you can still buy at the door, but none of the shows are on that day.
Two things cost extra: animal feed and pony rides. Pony riders have to be under 55 inches and under 95 pounds, they wear a helmet the park provides, and a parent signs a waiver. Pony tickets are limited, so do that first if your kid has been talking about ponies all week. Pumpkins aren't part of the ticket either. The farmer's market sells pumpkins, mums and fall treats.

Getting There 🗺️
Parent Tips 💡
- Book the weekend online. Saturday and Sunday tickets aren't sold at the door, and you pick a half-hour entry time. Try to get there within about 15 minutes of it.
- Go Friday for a cheaper, calmer day. It's $19.95 instead of $24.95, and door sales are allowed. You'll miss the shows and face painting, though.
- Bring a little extra for feed and ponies. Both cost extra, and pony tickets run out.
- Pack lunch if you want. Outside food is allowed (no alcohol). On weekends there's the Ford's Fish Shack food truck, and the gift shop sells kid snacks like cheese sticks and mac and cheese.
- Leave the dog at home. No pets. Trained service dogs only, and they check in at the front desk.
- If the weather turns, tickets aren't refundable, but if the park closes for weather you can move to another day with the reschedule link in your confirmation email. Use it before your entry time.
- Coming back next weekend? The costume contest and parade is Saturday, October 24, at noon.
